Sweet Springs, Missouri – November 29, 2010 – MCH Strategic Data announced today that it has completed a major update of its marketing database of Public Libraries. As a result, MCH has added more than 8,000 new library decision makers.

The update is a result of a telephone survey conducted by the MCH Research Department, based in the company’s Missouri-based corporate headquarters. According to Kirk Chritton, MCH’s Director of Product Development, the survey team called every library in America. “Our compiling effort is designed to build the most comprehensive marketing database available,” Chritton said. “It’s a process that we have refined since we introduced our library file more than 30 years ago.”

The survey verified a wide variety of information about each library, including its name, mailing address, physical location, phone number, other library features, and the names of the library director, branch librarians, children’s librarian, young adult librarian, and other job roles.

MCH’s clients license the database for a variety of purposes, but most use the data to mail catalogs for library products, books, and other publications. “Many of the leading library vendors rely on our database to make their sales and marketing efforts effective,” Chritton said. “It has to be accurate and comprehensive to meet our client’s needs.”
