MCH Strategic Data adds new K-12 attributes to QED Education Database

Sweet Springs, Missouri – November 29, 2010 – MCH Strategic Data announced today that it has added new data elements to its QED Education Database. MCH’s clients can use the new data to select target audiences for their marketing campaigns or can license the information as part of a customized marketing database.

According to Kirk Chritton, MCH’s Director of Product Development, the new elements can have significant importance to companies that market to schools. “It’s critically important for our clients to have access to current, accurate data to effectively target their marketing programs,” Chritton said.

One of the new attributes, Highest Degree Earned, describes the level of education of K-12 staff members, whether they currently hold a bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree. The information is compiled through public licensing information, telephone surveys, and other public sources. “To maintain their certification, educators are required to participate in continuing education programs,” Chritton said. “Using this attribute, universities and professional development providers can notify teachers and administrators about new educational opportunities that are most appropriate to them.”

Other new data elements describe attributes of the schools. MCH clients can now target schools based on the number of classrooms or number of computers in the building.

Chritton says that the company plans to release a series of new attributes over the coming months. “We have made a major commitment to extend the QED Education Database for 2011,” he said. “ We will announce enhancements throughout December and into early 2011, including a major new product line.”
