Congress and the Obama administration will push hundreds of billions of dollars in stimulus through government, education, and health institutions. Are you in a position to get the maximum benefit from institutional markets in 2009?
Over the past several months, we've all spent time discussing the election, the economy, and the general business climate. This document provides B2B marketers with an overview of the major effects of the economic crisis; the areas of the business market that are most likely to hold their own, or even thrive during the coming year; changes on the horizon; and actionable steps that can be taken to adapt in this fluid environment.

Silverpop surveyed 400 consumers age 18 to 55 to find out what they think about spam. Survey results show a broad variance in how spam is defined by consumers. 53% consider spam "email I didn't subscribe to receive" while 35% consider spam to be "email from any commercial entity.” The 35% group is the one that direct marketers need to be most concerned with. They're irritated and ready to click the "mark as spam" button at the first inclination that they've received something they didn't ask for. Click to continue

The USPS Move Update regulations became effective in November 2008. MCH Response Lab Director, Michael Tull, has written several articles about Move Update. Many of our customers have had questions regarding the new requirements, so we thought it was important to recap Mike's previous articles on the subject.
Move Update refers to the process of applying changes of address to existing addresses. The new standards significantly impact mailers who primarily use Standard Mail. The new standards are another step in the Postal Service's long-term plan to reduce the volume and costs of undeliverable-as-addressed (UAA) mail. Click to continue

PAY ATTENTION – there is so much happening right now that it's hard to keep up with the latest news! In the next few weeks, Congress and the new administration will be making decisions about how to boost the economy. It appears that a significant portion of the stimulus funding being discussed will be pushed through institutions. It's easy to become complacent when you hear millions, billions, and trillions daily yet we can't afford to lose focus of the sheer magnitude of what is going to happen over the next few months. Change often accompanies the launch of new government programs. As with government funding related to NCLB and 9/11, there will be companies that are winners and losers. To ensure that your company is a winner, make sure your message and offers are aligned with the purpose of these new programs. We are tracking information and will release a new BudgetAware™ Bulletin in the near future. Click to continue

Protecting people is a daily requirement for members of the law enforcement
community. At the other end of the spectrum are major events that require numerous institutions to
respond with aid. In the middle are many institutions that have daily safety and security needs.
All institutions need to protect their physical property. Hospitals, nursing homes, and schools are
responsible for protecting captive populations - employees, patients, residents, and students.
Public Health Departments have been tasked with emergency preparedness planning for health threats.
Fire departments are often first responders to a broad range of emergency situations.
