MCH Announces New Company Name, Logo, and Web Address

Sweet Springs, Missouri – June 28, 2010 – MCH Inc. CEO Peter E. Long announced today that the company would now do business under a new name, MCH Strategic Data. The company has been known simply as MCH since 2001. In addition, the company has a new logo and a new web address – www.mchdata.com.

“This is an important step for our company,” Long said. “For the past 15 years our web address has been ‘mailings.com’ and the company logo has included a stylized postmark. While these have served us well, MCH has grown to provide services well beyond mailing lists. It’s time for our logo and URL to represent that growth.”

The 82-year-old company compiles a nationwide database of more than one million institutions such as hospitals, schools, churches, nursing homes, childcare centers, and correctional facilities. The MCH database features extensive information about each institution including its mailing address, physical location, telephone number, web address, key contacts, and email addresses. MCH also provides email and social media marketing services, marketing analytics, custom database development, and geospatial databases used for emergency planning and response.

According to MCH Marketing Director Kirk Chritton, the old logo and web address have caused confusion. “We’ve had several potential new clients in the emergency planning market worry that we could only provide a database with mailing addresses, which simply won’t work for emergency response. An ambulance can’t be routed to a post office box. The reality is that our database has accurate physical addresses in addition to mailing addresses, but our logo and web address were misleading.”

MCH Strategic Data was selected as the new identity to represent the company’s consultative approach to developing solutions for its clients and also the strategic uses of its databases for both marketing and emergency response. The company will continue to be incorporated as MCH, Inc. In the past, the company was named Mailings Clearing House.

The MCH marketing team worked with Hillcroft Design of Lenexa, Kansas, to develop the new logo. “ It was important for us to retain a degree of design consistency with our prior branding,” Chritton said. “The new logo features six colored squares intersected by an oval. The color scheme matches the one we’ve used for nearly a decade. I see the squares as representing our solid history and the oval as a symbol of our comprehensive set of services.”
